5 of the Best World of Warcraft Private Servers

Who doesn’t love World of Warcraft? This game has seen unprecedented success since its initial release, and continues to hold the fascination of gamers across the globe. However, even the most loyal player will eventually tire of taking on bosses with his or her original characters, and seek out something new to do instead, preferably without having to pay $15 every month to do so. Here are five of the best private servers out there today, each offering unique characteristics that will keep you playing until your fingers fall off!

1) RetroWoW Insta 60

Play like it's 2006 with RetroWoW, one of our favorites in terms of retro graphics and overall experience. Looking for an instant 60 server? Instantly hitting level 60 (and getting access to all your flying mounts) is something you can only do on private servers these days. If you want to try out a retro version, look no further than RetroWoW. This popular private server has an authentic vanilla WoW experience without all that dumb questing around—just log in and play. Oh, and did we mention there are no items to buy? Everything comes by way of leveling up or completing quests, so if you're feeling nostalgic for old-school WoW, look no further than here.

2) Kronos

Is one of the most popular private servers for World of Warcraft. It is constantly updated with new content, including new raids, features and other fixes. With huge communities behind it, you’ll always have something to do on Kronos even if you are just looking for other players to group up with. It has custom features that other private servers don’t have too, which makes it all worth it in my opinion. The community is very helpful and active so if you have any questions you’ll get answers pretty quickly.

3) Unlimited WoW

Unlimited-WoW is a unique private server with an extremely loyal fan base. Since it’s inception in 2005, Unlimited-WoW has delivered in just about every aspect imaginable. The game’s detailed PvP and PvE aspects are something truly spectacular. There are arenas, battlegrounds, even world bosses that can be found all over Azeroth! If you’re looking for an authentic Vanilla WoW experience that doesn’t require downloading any mods or addons, Unlimited-WoW should be one of your top choices. It was our favorite WoW private server until Nostalrius shut down, so we made it #3 on our list when we decided to compile one.

4) Elysium

The most popular private server that's been around for years now. Unlike many servers, Elysium has always allowed users to pay for their services with WoW gold, rather than requiring them to buy an in-game subscription. There are ways to earn in-game gold as well though, including daily quests and dungeon runs. This ensures players don't have to spend real money but also lets those who want all they can get out of WOW do so at their own pace. The guild system is fairly robust too, allowing players to form groups within their faction. This can help people find groups more easily but also allows for more complex interactions between characters with specific professions or levels. If you're into WoW at all, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

5) E Pick Gaming

E Pick Gaming is a great choice for players looking for an MMORPG private server with a ton of available features. This WOW private server features multiple levels, including old content from Wrath of The Lich King expansion. One big advantage to playing on E Pick is that you’ll have access to all content up to level 80, which makes leveling a breeze! Plus, unlike other WOW servers out there, it has a low number of banned items. All in all, E-Pick is an excellent choice if you want to explore what made Vanilla WoW so popular without any restrictions. Full of custom items, npc's and more.
